In honor of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, San Diego Family Church and Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) hosted their first Peace Starts With Me Alliance program focused on the critical issue of human trafficking. Given WFWP’s ongoing collaboration with Mrs. Rohida Khan, a Victim Assistance Specialist with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, this topic presented a meaningful opportunity for partnership and education.

To begin 2026, the Hawai‘i Peace Starts With Me Alliance (PSWMA)—comprised of UPF, FFWPU, CARP, and WFWP, and led by the WFWP-Hawai‘i Chapter—partnered with King’s Chapel Hawai‘i Food Bank ‘Ohana Food Distribution Community Service Project to serve families in East O‘ahu.

Strings of the Heart is a prayer blanket ministry born from a shared love of crocheting and a deeper calling to serve. What begins as individual six-by-six-inch squares—each made by different hands, in different places—comes together as one blanket, gifted to someone in need of comfort.

The second session of Peace Starts With Me, held on December 27, 2025, was led by Susan Nishio, the session emphasized personal responsibility in building peace through faith, love, and mindful relationships, with open sharing highlighted as the most meaningful element.

The December Interreligious Sharing focused on the parables of Jesus, highlighting their enduring spiritual lessons across faith traditions.
